PROPULSION ARCHITECTURE
The parallel hybrid propulsion by means of a single MAN diesel engine driving with Servogear Ecofow Propulsor solution of CP-Propeller also generated by a 220kW e-engine.
Three diesel generator sets to be installed for the electric power supply of the yacht. Electro-hydraulic tensile steering to be performed by a single rudder.
Tunnel type 120kW bow thruster and 100kW stern thruster will enhance manoeuvring.
An electronic remote-control system for propulsion for the vessel with CP-propellers is designed according to the fail-safe principle and is built up with a high level of redundancy.
Modes of Propulsion System:
The system is very user-friendly, highly accurate, advanced, and flexible with six modes.
- Diesel Mode Only the MAN engine is running for propulsion
- Electric Only Mode: Only the E- Motor is running for propulsion
- Diesel + PTO Mode: The MAN Engine is running for propulsion, and the E- Motor supplies electric power.
- PTO Mode: The MAN Engine is running so that only the E-motor supplies the electric power.
- Hydro Generator Mode: MAN Engine turned off and the yacht makes way under sails. The E–motor is running from the propeller's
turning force and supplying electric power. - Pure Sailing Mode: TheMAN Engine and E-Motor are turned off and the propeller is in feathering pitch condition and not turning.
Details:
- PROPULSION POWER 1102 kW
- E-ENGINE 220 kW
- TOTAL GEN SETS POWER 258 kW
- TOP SPEED (incl. EPM) 15 knots
- TOP SPEED (ME only) 14,5 knots
- SPEED EPM only 6 knots
- CRUISE SPEED 11 knots
- TARGET RANGE 4000 Nm @ cruise speed
Compared to similar-sized sailing vessels her top speed will be 1 knot above the average. Range of 4000NM @11 knots cruising speed. 220kW e-motors supplemented by single 882kW diesel engine for а top speed of 14,5 knots. Silent operation under e-power up to 6 knots.
Advantages of CPP
Efficient Propulsion: Leads to lower fuel consumption and economic operation,
Reduced Noise and Vibrations: Creates а quieter and more comfortaЫe environment.
Slimmer and Efficient Equipment: Optimizes space and weight considerations for improved vessel performance.
Reduced Hull Resistance: Enhances overall hydrodynamic efficiency.
Wider Operational Range: Provides flexibility in various operational conditions.
Emission Reduction: Reduces NOx and СО2 emissions.
Improved Fuel Economy: Enhances fuel efficiency for extended cruising range.
